Diseases to be vaccinated against

Vaccinating your puppy will help protect him from some of the major serious diseases. They may sound ominous, but if you get all the necessary vaccinations, you won’t have to worry about them.

Baabuur

The symptoms of plague are: cough, diarrhea, high fever, vomiting, inflamed eyes, nasal discharge. Sometimes the nose and paw pads become hard and crack. In severe cases, convulsions, muscle spasms or paralysis are observed. This disease can lead to death.

Cudurka Parvovirus

This is a highly contagious disease in which there is bloody diarrhea. Vomiting, asthenia, depression, and high fever may also occur. Puppies under 6 months of age are particularly susceptible to parvovirus infection. This disease can be fatal.

hepatitis

The symptoms of hepatitis are as follows: cough, abdominal pain, convulsions, vomiting, and diarrhea. The whites of the eyes may be bluish. Puppies under 12 months of age are most susceptible to this disease, which can be life threatening.

Leptospirosis

This is a bacterial infection that comes from the urine of infected animals. In one case, these are dogs, in the other, rats (this form of leptospirosis is called Weil’s disease). Symptoms include depression, high fever, unquenchable thirst, lethargy, increased urination, abdominal pain, vomiting, bloody diarrhea, and jaundice. With jaundice, your puppy’s skin, whites of the eyes, or inside of the cheeks may be yellow. In severe cases, the disease can lead to death within a few hours. This form of leptospirosis can be transmitted to humans.

Canine parainfluenza virus

This is a highly infectious disease in which kennel cough occurs. It is a dry, β€œchoking” cough, sometimes so severe that it seems as if the dog is choking.
